K-5 Tutoring
We Love Lit! is excited to partner with Oakland University to offer no-cost reading tutoring for K-3 students living in Pontiac.
Who Is This Program For?
This tutoring program is designed for all K-3 students, whether they are building foundational skills or looking to strengthen their literacy abilities. This program provides personalized reading instruction tailored to each child’s unique learning needs. Every child can benefit from supportive, customized instruction!
How It Works:
- Students will work one-on-one or in pairs with trained tutors from Oakland University.
- Tutors use research-based strategies to provide individualized reading instruction.
- The goal is to build reading confidence, skills, and a love of learning!

Jan. 7: Introduction to the program and meeting with Oakland University reading tutors. Your child will take the Lexia Computer-adapted assessment.
Jan. 14: (No tutoring session; please ensure the Lexia assessment is completed if not already done.)
